The Theban Alphabet is sometimes used by Wiccas to encode their texts. The Theban Alphabet or Witches Alphabet has its roots in the medieval period when Cabbalistic studies were used in the practices of European magicians. Wiccas believe that the alphabet is powerful, and it is often carved onto stone or wood as an amulet, or for candle spells.

The Wicca pentacle and pentagram are important symbols to its practitioners. While these terms are sometimes taken to mean the same thing, pentacles and pentagrams do differ from each other. A pentagram is a five-pointed star with equal sides, drawn with a single line or two closely spaced parallel lines. So, a pentagram is the same symbol as used on Christmas tree stars or on the American flag.

The Wiccan garden is a wonderful place to express your Wiccan ethics and surround yourself with the herbs and other plants that can be used in The Craft. There are many examples of Wiccan gardens ranging from perfectly ordinary “kitchen gardens” to more elaborate gardens that might contain altars, statues and other objects of significance to a Wicca.

Wicca ethics and beliefs are very important to practicing Wiccans. Despite popular beliefs about their belief system Wiccans must subscribe to a strict moral and ethical code. This code has strict boundaries. While Wiccas do believe in the free will of humanity, this does not mean that they believe that humans can do whatever they like.
