What extra equipment do you need to play paintball?
Do not think that having the proper paintball gear is limited to the paintball markers, a hopper, tank and a paintball mask alone. You should also stongly consider taking along the other then paintball gear that you think might not think is necessary or even important. Extra gear and equipment to keep your paintball game safe can mean the difference between enjoying the day and not getting to play because of an injury or defective / broken equipment.
You should also bring along your paintball gun manual and gun schematic whenever you go out to play. You will never know when you will need to dismantle or disassemble your paintball markers. But remember that manuals and schematics are useless without those allen wrenches and other tools you might need. Right? You should realistically have one set handy at all times.
Also, don’t neglect to take spare batteries with you. Don’t let the potentially game stopping event like a dead battery ruin your fun in the paintball battlefield. Neck guards should be worn as they are good protection from painful shots in the neck. Pick a lightweight wrap-around strap for comfort. The wearing of thigh cups is also a good idea. You will never know where you’re going to be shot with all the action in the field. Shin guards, gloves and elbow pads are also excellent safetly items to have when it comes to running, dodging and crawling in the field. A little advice, don’t ever take chances
when it comes to the eyes. Replace those cracked or scratched paintball masks, even if they are only scratched because they were hit at close range. Always have an extra paintball mask available.
Many paintball marker problems can be easily be fixed. For example replace the cup seal and o-rings when they start to wear. These are small but very important parts that will will easily break and can cause your paintball marker to malfunction. To have an effective paintball marker you must remember to lubricate it occassionally. Bring paintball marker oil with you whenever you are going to play. Also have an extra squeegee when you are out in the field. You will never know when you might need it to get rid of some yucky substance that is stuck in your barrel.
Once you get to know and are compfortable with your paintball gear, you will have a decent idea as to what kind of paintball gear and equipment to bring along with you in the future. Don’t forget the tweezers, pliers and screwdrivers. These tools are very essential in your paintball gear. Also don’t forget to bring along some bolts, screws, springs, Teflon and, yes, duct tape.
Safety should be first so remember to bring along a first aid kit. A lot of might things happen on the paintball field so be as prepared as possible. Hey, it pays to be ready.
The bottom line is to be prepared and ready at all times because if ever something comes up or all heck break loose, you should try to be ready for it.
