If you think you meet ALL the requirements listed above and think you have everything to gain and nothing to lose by being a contestant on Survivor you will also need to submit a three-minute videotape of yourself with your application form.
You can download a copy of the application form from the CBS Web site (address below), but make sure you pay attention to the deadline for entries or you may miss out on your chance,
In your Survivor intro tape you will need to tell the casting agents exactly why you (and only you) would make the perfect survivor. Remember that this tape becomes the property of CBS so even if you don’t get picked to become a contestant on Survivor and one of the castaways it can still be aired on the show - so you might decide to play it safe.
On the other hand, the more eye-catching your videotape is - the better your chances of attracting the judge’s attention - so less might not be more in the case of Survivor.
Once you have your tape and your application form ready - get hold of a photocopy of your United States passport, a passport-sized photo and you are ready to go!
Survivor Interviews and Semi-Finalists
Your initial interview may be held in any one of several locations including: New York City, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Boston, Massachusetts; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Baltimore, Maryland; Los Angeles, California; San Francisco, California; Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Green Bay, Wisconsin; Dallas, Texas; Austin, Texas and Miami, Florida and don’t forget you are responsible for getting there at your own expense.
Survivor Semi-finalists are invited to Los Angeles shortly after the application process for final interviews with the producers of the show and this time economy air travel between Los Angeles and your local airport in the United States as well as your accommodation will be paid for by CBS - it’s looking better already and you may as well enjoy the soft beds and good food while you can.
All Survivor semi-finalists need to agree to take physical and psychological exams and tests by medical doctors selected by the producers of the show.
You will also need to fill out the Competitor Form Package that is furnished to selected applicants and submit to a background check.
Oh, and just in case you had plans to run for public office - you won’t be able to do any political wrangling until after initial broadcast of all the programs in which you appear.
